First Breath of Fall

One of my favorite times of the year. I love warm Fall days in between some mildly cool days! So for the next month and a half, I will enjoy the time immensely. After that period, all I can say is 'hurry up May'.

Halloween is definitely the crowning achievement of this time of the year. Perhaps my most favorite holiday. Handing out candy, taking the daughter trick or treating. I am all into it to be sure. We are lucky to be close to Sleepy Hollow to take in what is called 'Legend Weekend'. The community puts on a fantastic festival that begins in early October with the big weekend of Halloween. I was particularly impressed by the quality of display of the haunted ground tour of the Rockefeller grounds last year.

Couldn't agree more. Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year. The colors, smells, crisp edge to the air. I love it all. Very Happy

i'm a cyclist - i hate fall, as the next season is going to be winter... Crying or Very sad

Fall is the best time of the year. I always read The Hobbit. We roast green chiles from our garden (improved española, so they're hot). The mosquitoes are going away. It's cooler. It's the best time to ride a motorcycle and the mountains become gold here.

x-country or downhill? I am guessing you are up in them big mountains of NY?

Alpine(downhill) in the Catskills, which aren't very high. -Tom
