I really liked Scribes DIY project so I thought I would add my recent project. It is also my alibi for being absent for the last few weeks Laughing

1- removed all the old shrubbary. Cant find the before pic atm.

2-Cut out basic outline for project.

3- Level and lay in first layers of stone. The most time consuming part of the project.

4- Build up layers of stone to desired height and add capstones.

5- Go back and cut capstones to fit contour of walls. Still working on this step as you can see by the overhanging/misaligned stones.

6- Wait for spring to add topsoil and plants...........

OH nice! What a difference already and you haven't even planted yet. Takes that side of the house and turns plain into dynamic immediately.

Looks like back breaking work. I can't wait to do stone work outside!

Sounds like you are in for some planting this weekend! Which sounds refreshing to me. I'd like to be in the yard a bit more for sure.

Have a great holiday weekend!!

Lots of outdoor work this weekend. We are having our nieces graduation party here on Sunday. Which means plenty of work getting everything ready. Moved about 8 yards of topsoil into the beds today and got the plants sorted. I had to clean up a few trees that were blown over by the recent storms also. Weed eating, mowing, trimming, edgeing, all kinds of fun shocked

Now having a few beers and a bonfire Very Happy

Mike

I hope everyone has a great weekend.
