Damn, how the hell may I have ignored ebay.de for so long ? shocked

I'm sure Adam will recognize the name, but maybe Ralf is less familiar with non TSR. Here's the link on that wonderful site I've already mentioned you Wink

Btw, you see, one can be forum admin AND start uninteresting threads...

Wow, you're going to buy from Uwe Siebel? He's usually 200-250% over market value. I've bought from him once in 2 1/2 years. Of course, he's a nice guy and we've had lots of email contact. Just very, very expensive stuff.

All his TSR stuff is indeed very high, but the few non TSR are more affordable. I would bet the IDD module, sold by Burntwire, would go in $40-$50 range.
Here, I don't think that anyone will bid on it. This is not the best deal of the year, but 15 euros is still a very decent price.

I've received the parcel from that other german seller, including Sphinx. Nice stuff overall. The Midkemia are really close to mint.

You know, he's selling this stuff for a friend. All the time I'm waiting for something really rare to pop up. It would easiley slip from the radar of our US friends Twisted Evil ... nothing so far but a few shrinkwrapped goodies ...

I hope these German/French collectors/sellers come to our forums and start advertising their goods here as well. Might help them get a lot more traffic than they would otherwise.

I am very surprised Uwe doesn't write his descriptions in English as well. He has been around long enough to know this would improve his audience significantly.

Hey Christophe!

Do you have any geomorphs to compare this to?----> City Geomorphs?

Actually, I have no geomorphs. Not that I'm uninterested, but it seems that I've never found copies with a condition/price ratio that fitted me.
Considering there not very rare, expect the outdoors, I suppose I didn't search actively, though...

I am having the same problem. I never bothered to purchase any because I always thought they were going for way more than what they should.

I will try to buy this mystery set and some normal sets to compare and hope it is a treasure.

Damn, sniping site didn't work... Nobody did bid, anyway, so that's not a big deal. I sent a mail to Uwe, to propose a direct purchase before he relist it.

Ouch, I hate it when that happens. I hate it even more when the seller never replies to such offers.

All my snipes are the work of my own hands. I loooove manual sniping.

I also try to do manual snipes, but it's quite rare that an auction ends at an hour suitable for me. This one was ending at 8:00 am french time, which a bit too early for me...
I don't want to pay for sniping, so I'm limited to three a week. Usually that's enough, items really needing a snipe are rare. It must be a rare item, not too well advertised, and from a seller that is not watched by 99% of the Acaeum members/visitors...
If at least one of this condition is not met, there will be other snipes anyway, so you don't have to bother. The winner will be the one who's willing to pay the most, as in any other auction. You can bid a full week before the end, it won't change anything...

I still have no answer from Uwe, btw.

Two comments on this :
1) The german privacy law, which prevent to look for auctions a german citizen is bidding on, is very unfair ! Wink
2) Once again, the Scribe bid higher than me Mad

I had expected that. I had asked a question on one of his auctions seven days ago and got no reply, too. That is very unusual, as we had exchanged a hundred or so emails in the recent months.

If you don't receive an answer within a couple of days, please let me know and I'll query him directly.

I sent him a first mail, before the end of the auction, to check some details, and received an answer about a day later, so I don't worry too much.

Ok, I've received the answer from Uwe, and sent the payment. Situation is under control. Razz
I'm glad he's one of the last sellers in the world who doesn't post pictures of his items, else the module may have found another bidder !
And I know why the snipe didn't work. I changed my ebay password yesterday, and didn't update my profile... Embarassed

That nearly sucked for you Christophe. I still have my original 4 letter password from the 90's. I don't think they allow such short passwords anymore.

Hey Ralf!

What items are you interested in from the Monte Cook seller? I am keenly interested in the items marked editor's copy for no other reason than to validate my B3 orange copy.

I will most probably bid on:

  • the catalogs ('88, '97-2000)
  • logo folder sets
  • letterhead / memo pad

The latter two only if they don't go too high.
