At the risk of being castigated, I would like to mention another website. It's called Hexwar. They are putting SPI games up for play by email. People who register, but not subscribe, can play Napoleon at Waterloo for free. It's being run with the support of Decision Games, who have the copyright of most of the SPI titles. They started with NAW, but have added many of the quad games and have also started on the Kursk system. Some games are:
Several from Blue and Gray system like Shiloh, Antietam, and Cemetery Hill.
Some from NAW quad like Marengo and Battle of Nations.
Some other Napoleonic titles - Borodino and Austerlitz.
From Westwall Quad - Arnhem and Bastogne
From North Africa Quad - Crusader, Cauldron and Supercharge
From Island War Quad - Saipan and Bloody Ridge
Some from the Kursk line - The Battle of Stalingrad, Moscow Campaign and Kursk
They recently did the Napoleon's Last Battles Quad. I like the campaign game with the command and control rules.
In the works is Invasion America.
There is also an option on many of the games for FOW. It's a credit to the original design of these games that the FOW works very well. It really keeps the Allies on their toes in Arnhem.
Because of this service, I no longer feel I have to garner so many punched copies for my collection, leaving me to concentrate on UPed ones. Also, because I live in an extremely rural area, I have no(as in ZERO) face-to-face opponents(unless I could teach some cows how to play). With Hexwar I have them all over the world.
Just thought I'd mention it. Hope I don't get in trouble. -Tom
