I remember this being the coolest game ever! Along with Viking Gods (of course, I was only around 11 or 12 at the time). I'd just discovered D&D with a new friend I met at school, but some of my other friends down the street had Escape from New York and Viking Gods (and Pleasantville, Saga and Vampyre as well).
I don't know if I even made the connection that TSR made both D&D and these games . . .
I wonder if I'll ever get a chance to play again? I think I can get the kids interested in Warlocks and Warriors and The Fantasy Forest someday . . . even Dungeon! (and then hopefully on the RPGs). But convincing them that this Escape From New York is a supercool movie and the game is a great way to relive it will be a tough sell . . . _________________ "Ah, Blackadder. I don't know about the game, but I do remember how scared of NYC the movie made me and pretty much everyone I knew. I suppose rightfully so, because if NYC had continued to decay the rate it had up to that point then it certainly would have declined to that extent. Fortunately, urban centers have nearly all enjoyed a tremendous renewal the past 2 decades and I wasn't too afraid to make the move here.

Paul---
I picked up a copy or four over the past few years, but also haven't had a chance to play. Perhaps we should try to fix this lack together?---I will be back in NJ for 2 weeks or so over the Christmas/New Year holidays _________________ grodog

New Jersey! Where the heck is NJ, anyway?
Allan, while that sounds good, keep in mind NJ is at least 6 hours away from Rochester, NY. I am not sure what exactly we'll being doing around Christmas time, but I can guarantee the wife will not be cool with me travelling any distance outside of Rochester to play a "game". I mean, I love her dearly, but how can she not like games (of any kind) at all . . . _________________ "Ah, Blackadder. Started talking to yourself, I see."

BTB , I'll Play!
Oh, don't worry . . . I was already planning on drafting you to play. Things are starting to settle down on the homefront with the kid's bedtimes and all . . . Maybe someday I will be able to show up early to a Saturday night C&C session and we can get a game in.
In fact, I'm going to open up the shrink tonight and check it out! _________________ "Ah, Blackadder. Started talking to yourself, I see."
