I'm just getting things packed up here to head out of town up to the cottage (us Northern Ontarians actually call it a camp) for a week. Its up in my home town of Thunder Bay, Ontario - a couple hours north of Duluth, MN.
Plan on bringing my canoe out, maybe do a bit of fishing, burn down the big ole brush pile, etc. Our dog (yellow lab) loves it out there and will be swimming all day. I've been looking forward to this for a while now. I've been pretty busy lately writing my thesis so this will be a nice change. I do have to bring a laptop with me and get a bit done - thesis draft due Aug 1 :)

I will be heading to northern MN at the beginning of September for some canoeing and camping for a week. This will be my first trip up there. Some of the people I am going with make the trip a couple times every year. It should be a great get away.

Well I had to cancel my planned trip up north due to a broken heel. Maybe next year.
I guess this will give me time to post some scans. Not much info will be provided along with them due to the difficulty of me getting around.
A silver lining I guess.

Ouch. I forgot about that. I think you have to metal detector every day, no? The good news is, Big Blue have next season to look forward to. _________________

That is a high tech heel! I don't have anything so fancy (aside from scares and disfigurements) from my feats of glory. I am metal free having been through a broken femur, broken collar bone, dislocated patella and trauma to my fourth cranial nerve.

Yep, several times a day.
Michigan was supposed to suck this year, and they are living up to it so far. It was great watching Charlie get taken out though. _________________ GO BLUE !!!
