Even though elements have been reprinted by Multiman Publishing, the original Advanced Squad Leader materials remain sought after commodities. There are at least a couple of reasons for this beyond nostalgia. The game components in the earlier editions are generally sturdier and certain map boards (which play a role in multiple scenarios) can be difficult to find.
