Mentions the Taurus Science Fiction and Fantasy Games Club, an outlet for sci-fi/fantasy games. The game The Battle for Andromeda is also mentioned as being a more involved version of Warriors of the Dark Star. Expansion Lits for both games were available through the club.

Warriors of the Dark Star was designed by whoever was responsible for Galaxy Foundation Games. They licensed Taurus to publish the initial edition (supposedly of 6000 copies). The same arrangement was made for Battle for Andromeda, a strategic game (Warriors of the Dark Star is tactical).

This is all according to a GFG catalog I have - I will post some images from it in the new GFG topic, along with the games.

A different Warriors of the Dark Star rulebook was included in GFG's later tactical series games. I do not know if they ever published their own full edition of the game, or just the rulebook.

I forgot to mention one not-terribly-important detail. GFG paired most of their strategic games with a tactical game, which supposedly had the same units and so forth. Warriors of the Dark Star is the companion game for Battle for Andromeda.
