Collector's Arcana: Night's Dark Terror is a contribution from the TSR UK Design Team and it is designed to be a Basic/Expert Transitional module. The Original idea was to have it numbered B/X1, but this was overruled and B10 was assigned instead. Those distributed in the UK have a B/X1 sticker over the B10 code.

The module itself has quite a number of components. These consists of:

  • Two Outer Covers
  • Fold-out poster map (double sided)
  • Sheet of 124 counters. (Note: This is incorrectly listed as 120 counters on the back cover of the booklet.)
  • 66 page booklet - There are 56 numbered Adventure pages
  • 8 Pages of Pull-outs numbered I-VIII. (Note: The pull-outs are incorrectly listed as between pages 12-13 in the Table of contents. In reality, they are located between pages 28-29)

Description (From the back cover)

Barely one day's march from Kelven, the uncharted tracts of the Dymrak forest conceal horrors enought to freeze the blood of civilized folk. Those who have ventured there tell how death comes quick to the unwary - for the woods at night are far worse than any dungeon.
But you are adventureres, veterans of many battles, and the call of the wild is strong. Will you anaswer the call, or are you afraid of the dark terrors of the night?

The team of Bambra, Morris and Gallagher would soon go on to be instrumental in the design and production of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Fans of WFRP will note how similar in design B10 is to Warhammer adventures. The primarily "outdoor" settings, the many locations, numerous maps, large involved adventure as well as the detailed info on NPC personalities and motives. Even the layout of the module is reminiscent of the style that would be used in Warhammer. (Some fans might even note the germination of the idea that the "Forests" of the land disguise the true terror and is more to be feared than the isolated dungeon.)
