Also, possibly known as Attack International Wargamers Association, Attack Wargaming Association, Attack Wargaming Company, and even the Dave Casciano Company...as it is referred to most conclusively in the titles presented for research to date. There were a number of wargames produced by this company in the mid to early 70's. But for our purposes here there are at least 4 titles associated with these names that relate to Dungeons and Dragons.
-- Book of Dragons is a supplement of monsters and character classes.
-- The Infernax of Spells, Necromancy, and Black Magic, has a fanzine look to it. It was apparently approved by Dave Arneson. This has new monsters, spells and a couple of new character classes (trader and beast master). According to the back cover, "This work is an authentic reference-supplement for all fantasy roleplaying, miniature, or board type games. All material herein was fully researched from rare manuscripts and painstakingly put into game rule form." Notice the curious use of the Dungeons & Dragons logo right on the front cover.
-- Thieve's Quarter is a solo adventure associated with the publisher Attack Wargamers Company as is noted in Lawrence Schick's Heroic Worlds.
-- Tower of Elbrith is a solo adventure for low level characters as is noted in Lawrence Schick's Heroic Worlds.
On the back of Book of Dragons as found in our research forums, a fantasy science fiction item slatted for release called Warlocks of the Dark Star. Also available are Silver Military type fantasy badges at $1.99 a piece referred to as "Chaotic Character" and "I Like Orcs".
Formalhaut II and Star Raider are both published by Casciano in 1975 and can be found in the research forums. Both appear to be stand alone Science Fiction games.
