The Tome of Treasures Rating:
After they landed on a desert planet the crew of the spelljamming vessel under Captain Meredith meets the people of the desert lands, lead by
the priestess Kirstig. Natives and Spacefarers settle around the campfire and the peace priest Father Pax recounts the story told in previous comic book TSR Worlds.
A jealous native sub-leader blames Pax for "stealing" Kirstig from him.
Father Pax, Tember and Jasmine try to rescue Meredith from the bridge, where she is sealed in, unconscious.
Meredith awakens and takes the spelljamming ship into space, accidentally bringing with them a group of desert natives including Kirstig.
The comic is an effective introduction into the Spelljammer universe. Story and characters are straight told and the
quality of the art is great.
(Ralf Toth)
Conclusion: The Spelljammer comic line shows a promising start with this first issue.
Left: Meredith takes her friends to the stars ...
Right: First Issue, signed by Barbara Kesel.
