I mentioned in another thread somewhere that the Hudson River Valley puts on a very nice Halloween festival in and around the Sleepy Hollow area. This is the area that John Irving lived and penned 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow'. Amongst the various activities on some of the more prominent estates open to the public is the Jack O Lantern Blaze. There were over 4000 real pumpkins carved and lit with candles on the inside. I suppose some had electric lighting in them, but many did have candles from what I could see. We had a fantastic time and took some pictures to share. Notice some of them are very large. They are actually the same image on several different pumpkins for a different effect. Some make up a vignette of several different pumpkin carvings arranged into a scene. All quite clever and a joy to witness.
