Happy Holidays everyone!
We are vacationing for a long weekend (week) in beautiful Virginia at Lady Scribe's folk's place this year. Paise wants a dog but she will have to make do with a mechanical dog. We already told her Santa doesn't handle live animals if he can help it. Christmas with a 6 yr old child is the most special yet fleeting experience that I am savoring to the fullest. The holidays couldn't possibly be more special to me. _________________

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is enjoying the season.
Ya' know, I've begun to discover that "collecting" things is something rooted deep in a person's psyche. I've collected many things over the years (childhood till now) which include such diverse things as bottle caps, golf balls, baseball cards, comic books, scratch 'n sniff stickers, star wars figures, star wars cards, those little plastic football helmets, erasers (remember in the 80's when they made erasers in the shapes of dinosaurs, spaceships, etc.) , books and more . . .
And now? Now I probably overindulge Arianna with toys; but damn it, I can't help it. I'll be at the store and say to myself: "Ooo! A new three-pack of animal figures for Go, Diego Go!. We don't have a hippo, lion and sloth yet. I'll even save the "collector" animal cards.
The My Little Pony Ice Cream truck! Oh, that's pretty cool. And we don't have Pinkie Pie yet - I'll need to get her.
Let's see: An adult male lion and a lioness. I better pick up a few cubs too . . . and one more adult elephant . . .
**Sigh** It always makes me a little sad when she loses or breaks a few components . . . I can't wait open my (err . . . her) toys this Christmas.
