I think that is invincibly over-the-top.
I would much rather have an original piece of art with that kind of cabbage.
The money that these auctions have drawn in will likely send shockwaves through the former TSR employees. I would look for more of these types of auctions to begin happening.

I absolutely agree. And Paul Stormberg has already established a nice trademark for this kind of business. Not a bad thing to do. Though maybe he should hire someone for packing and mailing the stuff.
The other auctions were heavy, too. Several new names showed up, with very serious bids. Not really collectors, but GREYHAWK afficionados. There was a lot of talk on the Acaeum forum about the RJK auctions. _________________ Tome of Treasures - #1 resource for collectible role-playing games.

So the total out on these auctions is $20,000!!
Seriously, there really wasn't anything significant in the auctions from what I seen. What was pretty much sold for much less than some of the other oddities.
I thought the original artwork was nice and at a decent deal. I liked the Domesday Book but it sold for too much I think.

Oh, I dont know. You might be surprised at the willingness of some of these people to move at least parts of their collection for the amount of cash it would bring in.
I am thinking Gygax has at least 100 times the material Kuntz just put up.

I searched the forums here to see if what I am about to post was a repeat, and even though I cannot find it, considering what common knowledge it seems to be I am taking the safe route and just bumping this five-year-old thread (which may actually be a worse idea; who knows?):
The auction is always one of my favorite parts of the convention anyway, and I cannot even imagine how insane the bidding is going to be for even the most insignificant thing they put up.
