Collector's Arcana: Blizzard Pass was originally given the module code designation of M1. The "M" series
was later used for the Master Level D&D modules, thus creating a second module with this code: M1 Into the Maelstrom.
Blizzard Pass is now usually referred to as MSOLO1 and this designation is confirmed on page 17 of the
Magic Encylopedia.
Blizzard Pass is an invisible ink module and not only is the pen usually missing, but some (or all) of the text
has been revealed, leaving behind a yellow marker coloration. This has the additional unwelcome effect of causing the text
to fade and even though passages have been revealed, it is often difficult (or impossible) to read what remained.
This solo module also contains instructions for using it in group play.
Unlike other items, the Near Mint value reflects a module that is missing it's pen and has no highlighting (or extremely minimal
highlighting). The difficulty in finding this module with a pen and no writing makes complete (and likely shrinkwrapped) copies
command a premium price - usually 3-5 times the suggested value listed.
Description (From the back cover)
The storm sweeps off the mountaintop without warning, as if conjured by some supernatural power. Within minutes, huge
drifts of snow have halted the caravan, and the snow falls so hard it is impossible to see more than
five feet. You huddle next to the sledge, trying to shelter your numb face from the icy winds.
A dozen half-human forms march into view out of the raging blizzard. The little man-things carry
wooden spears or long, unsheathed swords in bony, gnarled hands. Their blood-red eyes quickly fall
upon your sledge and the ugly creatures turn toward your hiding place.
Will your survive to uncover the secret of Blizzard Pass?
