Collector's Arcana: Maze of the Riddling Minotaur was originally given the module code designation of M2. The "M" series was later used for the Master Level D&D modules, thus creating a second module with this code: M2 Vengeance of the Alphaks. Maze of the Riddling Minotaur is now usually referred to as MSOLO2 and this designation is confirmed on page 17 of the Magic Encyclopedia.

Maze of the Riddling Minotaur is an invisible ink module and not only is the pen usually missing, but some (or all) of the text has been revealed, leaving behind a yellow marker coloration. This has the additional unwelcome effect of causing the text to fade and even though passages have been revealed, it is often difficult (or impossible) to read what remained. This solo module also contains instructions for using it in group play.

Unlike other items, the Near Mint value reflects a module that is missing it's pen and has no highlighting (or extremely minimal highlighting). The difficulty in finding this module with a pen and no writing makes complete (and likely shrinkwrapped) copies command a premium price - usually 3-5 times the suggested value listed.

Description (From the back cover)

For a long time, you have heard legends about the island of Vacros; when you were only a child, the stories about minotaurs were used to scare you into behaving. Now you are grown and no longer believe children's stories.

But King Trueon of Cathos is worried: His daughter Princess Lydora has been kidnapped, and he has found clues that she has been taken to the ancient and evil island of Vacros. You have heard rumors that a large and dangerous mazework lies beneath the surface of the island - a mazework that is guarded by minotaurs. Of course, many rumors are false, but then again . . .
